Coffee and Words: Coffee Commandments (Single Shot)

With all the seriousness pervading our coffee related shenanigans, we thought it was time for some light relief! This feature is best served with a bitter Mocha!

Coffee and Words: Coffee Commandments (Single Shot)

With so much deep thought and caffeine filled scripture in our familiar corner of the web this week we thought it might to fun to have some, er, fun. In the course of the many brain storming sessions and al fresco coffee sessions that formulated this week of celebration many ideas came up. One idea was a set of Coffee Commandments, stumbled over like an espresso addict in Salt Lake City. Over latte and water in an arts centre down a woody street I and oft collaborator Anna Di Scala, fine artist and coffee expert, made some silly, serious and sometimes downright obscene Coffee Commandments...

“Break the morning with the fresh aroma of a rich desirable coffee”

“Creation and coffee go hand in hand”

“Honour thy mocha with the maximum of time in its enjoyment.”

“Barristers judge; Baristas inspire.”

“The coffee bean is a seed of love, desire and creation. Treat it well and in all things creative and passionate you shall succeed...”

“Coffee is the passion of Italy, the strong will of America, the tranquility of Tibet, the streets of Paris and the good will of the world”

“An Espresso for creativity on the go; A Cappuccino for a morning spent to contemplate...”

“A coffee made with passion is the true taste of love.”

“The aroma of coffee can stir a heart to beat, an army to march, a father to work, a mother to speak her darkest desires and an artist to create...”

“Coffee is the artist’s nectar”

“Covet not your neighbour’s beverage when coffee beans abound.”
